PRESS RELEASE 

The Friday Night, APRIL 23 Songwriters "SHOWCASE" at the OAK BARREL in Lebanon, KY , part of  Historic Penn's Store 2010 KENTUCKY WRITERS DAY CELEBRATION, will pay a special KWD tribute to the late great ROY ORBISON.  Gordon Webb of Lebanon, KY will perform many of Orbison's memorable songs, as will other songwriters during the night's show.

Other places around the country celebrating Orbison's April 23 birthday:  Nashville will commemorate Orbison�s birthday with a "Benefit Birthday Bash" for Musicians On Call, at the Hard Rock Caf� in downtown Nashville.  On April 22,  the Nashville Sounds game at Greer Stadium will be "Roy Orbison Night." Fans are encouraged to sport Roy Orbison-inspired attire, and Barbara Orbison will throw the game�s first pitch.

New York City will join in the tribute -  Gibson Epiphone is launching a new campaign featuring photos of Orbison, and on April 23, the Times Square Jumbotron will broadcast images of the late Roy Orbison.
